There are actually around 600 muscles in your body. Many of the main muscles can be grouped together. When muscles are in the same part of the body and have the same primary purpose, we call them a muscle group.
Muscles are attached to bones with things called tendons. Each muscle has what is known as an "origin" and an "insertion point." |
