APPLYING this informationAfter learning where each muscle group is located and gaining an understanding of what it does, it is now possible to apply this information when choosing exercises or developing training plans. In order to build the strength of any muscle group, you need to find an exercise that provides resistance while the muscle is trying to contract. The source of this resistance can be a weight, a machine, an object, or simply your own body weight. Feel free to click through the muscle groups one at a time to learn how to exercise it, or go back to revisit a previous section. |
There are two types of muscle fibers. Slow-twitch muscle fibers have less power but more endurance, while fast-twitch muscle fibers have more power but less endurance.
